Barnacle Geese at the Rainbow's End

 

Winter sees not only huge, localised influxes of geese from their tundra breeding grounds in the arctic, but it's also a time of inclement and changable weather.  This can be a photographers friend though when it throws up the combination of conditions that allowed me to capture these feeding Barnacle Geese at the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust's Caerlaverock reserve in Scotland
