My family holidays are always meant to be a bit of a break from my photography, and a chance to spend a bit more focussed time with the family - ie I leave my 500mm lens at home! This summers trip to Ontario and Quebec in Canada proved no exception but I was certainly cursing not having the longer lens when it came to having a brief encounter withthis cheeky Raccoon one afternoon on our travels. On the other hand I think that the environmental setting adds a great deal to the image that the shorter lens I had has allowed, and it's a timely reminder that filling the frame in your face images aren't always the best.
